West Music is a retail music company that specializes in providing hours of enjoyment through their large selection of musical instruments and products. Not only does West Music have physical stores nationwide, but they also sell online and through their mobile app, live streams, and podcasts. This temporary position runs from August 15st- November 15th

The Opportunity:

We are looking for an experienced and reliable Temporary Accounting Clerk to join our accounting team. The ideal candidate is someone with entry-level experience who can effectively report to the accounting manager and provide clear data entry accounting-related duties with accuracy.

Job Responsibilities:

• Coordinate with internal and external parties regarding financial information inquiries
• Accurately enter and update data into our systems with a keen eye for detail. • Conduct data verification and quality checks to ensure data integrity and consistency.
• Perform regular data audits to identify and resolve discrepancies.
• Maintain confidentiality and adhere to data protection policies and procedures.

Requirements:

• Excellent interpersonal and communication skills
• Ability to accurately enter data
• Attention to detail and problem-solving skills
• High level of accuracy and efficiency

Nice-to-Haves:

• Knowledge of tax regulations
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite
• Certification or degree in accounting or related field
• Relevant experience in accounting
• Experience working in a retail setting
