Job Description
Omitron is seeking a Systems Integrator to support multiple Omitron projects and customer efforts to include NASA, OSC, USSF, and other mission partners. The successful candidate will develop, integrate, secure, and troubleshoot infrastructures, platforms, applications, and services. The integrator must have a team-oriented and customer-focused attitude due to multiple locations and various end users.
As a Systems Integrator at Omitron, you will work with a team of talented software, hardware, and astrophysicists leading the industry in system solutions. The position is hybrid, with some remote work, onsite development and support, and some travel.
As a Systems Integrator at Omitron, you will build, test, and maintain multiple systems and services. You will work closely with development and operations teams, leveraging your expertise to ensure the implementation of secure, reliable systems and environments.
Key Responsibilities: - Provision, install/configure, and maintain open source cloud solutions and virtualized environments
- Configure and install hardened operating systems and application software
- Integrate enterprise-level software and services (Active Directory, Timing, SIEM, etc.)
- Deploy cross domain solutions
- Support and have familiarity with crypto and diodes
- Support Linus and Windows development, test, and operational systems
- Provide system monitoring, security, server health, resources, and log management of Linux and Windows systems
- Conduct security assessments, threat modeling, and vulnerability management for infrastructures (cloud and on-prem), applications, and services
- Establish and manage security monitoring, logging, and alerting tools to proactively detect and respond to security incidents
- Maintain competency with NIST.SP.800-171, NIST.SP.800-53, and Controlled Unclassified Information (CUI) controls
- Apply DISA STIG compliance controls to secure systems
- Troubleshoot and perform root cause analysis, system configurations, backups, files systems, and user access
- Troubleshoot hardware, networking, software, service and system problems in multi-node environment
- Maintain integration code baselines via Git or similar software configuration tools.
- Test, implement, and support integrated systems and services while following change control
- Interface with engineers, systems engineers, and subject matter experts
Desired Skills and Experiences: - TS/SCI
- DOD 8570 Information Assurance Technical (IAT) Level II certification required (such as CCNA Security, CySA+, GICSP, GSEC, Security+, CND, or SSCPy)
- 3-5 years of experience with virtualization and/or government cloud solutions (VMware, OpenStack, AWS, and Azure)
- Experience with on-premises hardware such as VxRails, Juniper firewalls, Palo Alto Firewalls, and Dell Switching
- Familiarity with scripting languages (e.g., Python, Bash)
- Solid understanding of secure software development practices and technologies.
- Familiarity with common security frameworks, standards, and guidelines (e.g., NIST, CIS, OWASP)
- Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to identify, analyze, and resolve security issues
- Strong communication (written and verbal) and collaboration skills, with the ability to work effectively with diverse teams
- Experience in networking and security
- Familiarity with operations support or mission support for the space domain, flight safety, satellite operations, or ground systems
