Job Description

Summary: We are seeking a highly experienced Software Test Engineer with a Public Trust clearance to perform formal software testing for complex applications. The role involves developing and executing test plans, scripts, and scenarios, analyzing test results, and documenting conclusions. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in software testing, excellent communication skills, and the ability to work independently on high-visibility or mission-critical programs.

Responsibilities:

• Perform formal software testing activities for complex software applications.
• Review user requirements documentation and assist in the development of test plans.
• Develop test data and transform test plans into test scripts.
• Execute test scripts and ensure proper documentation of test results in tracking systems.
• Analyze test results, document conclusions, and make recommendations supported by test results.
• Perform all functional duties independently and oversee efforts of direct reporting resources or assigned staff.
• Review business-requested changes, analyzing system impact.
• Create and document test scenarios and detailed test scripts for online and batch environments.

Skills/Qualifications:

• 13 to 20 years of relevant experience in software testing.
• A degree from an accredited college/university in the applicable field. If the degree is not in a related field, an additional four years of related experience is required.
• Strong communication skills and the ability to work independently.
• Experience in application testing for online and batch environments.
• Proficiency in creating and documenting test scenarios and scripts.
• Familiarity with ALM, ServiceNow, Word, and Excel.
• Ability to perform functional duties independently on high-visibility or mission-critical programs.

Preferred:

• Special credentials (licenses or certifications) may be required on a case-specific basis.
