Job Summary: The Senior HR Generalist provides leadership and strategic oversight of the talent acquisition and student employment functions within the Division of Talent, Culture, and Human Resources, under the guidance and direction of the Senior Manager - Employee Experience, Culture, and Deputy Title IX Coordinator. They will supervise a team of HR Generalists focused on faculty and staff talent acquisition and retention efforts, as well as oversee the team responsible for managing campus student employment. The Senior HR Generalist may also be expected to provide tactical talent acquisition, retention, compliance, inclusion, employee relations, and employee experience support as needed. This position is expected to collaborate with a broad range of stakeholders to deliver measurable results and impact to talent acquisition and retention strategies and contribute to bringing the HR strategic priorities to fruition to contribute to an inclusive, engaged, and thriving campus community. This position will report to the Senior Manager-Employee Experience, Culture and Deputy Title IX Coordinator with direct supervisor oversight of a team of HR Generalists (Talent Acquisition and Retention) and the Student Employment Team.
Job Duties: Job Duties:
- Leadership, coaching, and people management functions and activities for direct reports, as well as driving creation and execution of applicable individual development plans to support upskilling, reskilling, and other learning, growth and development for their team that contribute to divisional strategic priorities and to support the needs of the campus community.
- Tactical support for talent acquisition and retention deliverables, creating proactive, innovative, strategic, and inclusive search strategies while collaborating with cross functional team members and campus stakeholders to lead effective and successful search efforts and positioning Bucknell's employee value proposition as a great place to work.
- Assist with design, planning, execution, and measurement of recruiting, orientation, onboarding, and first year experience efforts, in addition to other L&D, employee retention, and employee experience initiatives and creation of HR dashboards and metrics to measure effectiveness of these initiatives.
- Respond to employee relations and compliance concerns and reports, conducting investigations, communicating outcomes, and assisting with policy and procedures creation and updates.
- Assist with other special projects to support the strategic priorities of the Division of Talent, Culture, and Human Resources as directed and needed.
- Other duties as assigned: Participates in all aspects of program and division planning and in the establishment of divisional goals and objectives.
Minimum Qualifications
- Education: Bachelor's degree or higher in HR management, business, psychology, organizational development, leadership, or related field.
- Professional Work Experience: Five or more years of related work in HR management as a Generalist, HR Business Partner, Talent Acquisition Manager, or other similar HR management role with experience as a people leader for direct reports.
- Ability to effectively and strategically lead, coach, and manage the day-to-day people management operations of the talent acquisition and student employment teams within the Division of Talent, Culture, and Human Resources
- Serve as a subject matter expert and guide for full-scale talent acquisition, retention, and employee experience efforts
- Technical proficiency with HRIS such as Workday, Google Suite, Microsoft Office, and other related systems and software
- Creation of HR dashboards, tracking metrics and data with ability to translate into impactful story-telling and measurement, evaluation, and adjustment of HR strategies and procedures
- Contribute to the strategic priorities of the Division of Talent, Culture, and Human Resources through agile and resilient mindset, commitment to people excellence, inclusive leadership, and creating a sense of belonging
- Optimize talent acquisition strategies and processes through leveraging streamlined process improvements, utilizing technology and tools, and providing best in class support to all candidates and new hires
- Lead proactive search strategies for both active and passive candidates, leveraging social media and a diverse range of recruiting methods and sources
- Strong attention to detail, with ability to prioritize tasks and multiple projects with appropriate sense of urgency and commit to follow through
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills through in-person, online, verbal, and non-verbal methods
- Advanced knowledge of employee relations laws and regulations and compliant talent acquisitions processes and requirements
- Experience with change and project management
- Effectively and efficiently respond to employee relations and compliance reports and conducting investigations, summaries, recommendations, and communication of findings as applicable
- Ability to communicate with and build trust with a variety of stakeholders within the Division of Talent, Culture, and Human Resources and withing the campus community
Preferred Qualifications:
- Education: Master's degree or higher in HR management, business, psychology, organizational development, leadership, or related field.
- Professional Work Experience: More than five years of related work in HR management as a Sr. Generalist, HR Business Partner, Talent Acquisition Manager, or other similar HR management role with experience as a people leader for direct reports. Experience in a higher education HR environment.
- Professional Certification or License: SHRM-CP/SCP, PHR/SPHR, or other relevant HR certification
- Significant experience with leading change and project management
- Advanced business acumen knowledge
- Experience supporting higher education structures and nuances
- Experience with Title IX laws and investigation best practices and requirements
Work Setting:
- Primarily on campus, with potential for hybrid option as approved by direct supervisor and as work needs allow
Physical Requirements:
- This position will require extended periods of working at/on a computer.
- The position is also required to assist with and/or lead in-person and online training, orientation/onboarding, and other communication efforts in a variety of settings.

Salary Range: 72,640.00-90,800.00
The offer rate will be based on a review of the candidate's credentials compared to the qualifications of the position, internal equity, and our overall compensation philosophy.
This role is not budgeted for visa sponsorship at this time, all candidates must be authorized to work in the US at the time of submission of the application.
