Midland Basin Overview
ConocoPhillips holds approximately 376,000 total net acres in the Midland Basin, which includes approximately 251,000 unconventional net acres located in the heart of West Texas. The company operates over 3,100 wells across Midland, Upton, Andrews, Martin, and Glasscock counties.

In 2022, the company operated five drilling rigs and brought 111 operated wells online. Net production in 2022 averaged 140 MBOED.

Description
If you are selected as the Project Lead, you will assume a substantial role for the (asset). Your role will provide onsite supervising and coordinating of facility construction, facility repairs, pipeline construction, location & road construction, compressor installation and pipeline repair in an assigned geographical area.

Responsibilities may include:
  • Be a safety leader
  • Direct all assigned well operations, construction, and maintenance activities to ensure that work is performed
  • Follow all ConocoPhillips safety policies/procedures as well as all applicable environmental and regulatory requirements
  • Coordinate with engineering and operations to achieve established objectives and to minimize interruptions
  • Review invoices and verifying billing, expenditures, and cost-control on assigned projects
  • Train and/or audit contract personnel on policies and procedures
Basic/Required:
  • Must be legally authorized to work in the United States on a full-time basis for anyone other than current employer
  • Current/Valid driver's license
  • 5+ years of experience in oil and gas operations
  • Basic knowledge of interpreting piping & instrumentation diagrams (P&IDs)
  • Willing and able (with or without reasonable accommodation) to operate a motor vehicle and drive long distances
Preferred:
  • 3 + years of direct maintenance experience
  • Extensive knowledge of field operations, construction operations
  • Able to prioritize multiple projects
  • Strong leadership, mentoring, team building, and people development skills
  • Takes ownership of actions and follows through on commitments by holding others accountable and standing up for what is right
  • Delivers positive results through realistic planning to accomplish goals
  • Builds effective solutions based on available information and makes timely decisions that are safe and ethical
