We are seeking an experienced (3 years billing and coding, preferred) detail-oriented Medical Biller/Coder to join our healthcare team. The ideal candidate will have experience in medical billing procedures, coding systems, and terminology, and will have a certificate or formal education in billing/coding.

Work with amazing people within our Operations Team in our Farmington Hills clinic!

Responsibilities:

• Review and verify the accuracy of billing data and revise any errors.
• Follow up on unpaid claims within the standard billing cycle timeframe.
• Utilize medical coding to ensure compliance with federal regulations.
• Process payments from insurance companies and patients.
• Investigate and appeal denied claims.
• Maintain patient confidentiality in compliance with HIPAA guidelines.

Skills our Medical Biller will have:

• Medical billing and coding education with, preferably, 2-3 years of experience as a Medical Biller and Coder.
• Effective communication skills.
• Basic computer skills, such as sending emails, typing, and using spreadsheets.
• Interact with clients and patients.
• Creative problem-solving skills.
• Work independently.
• Multitasking.

Pay : $17.00 - $24.00 per hour

Expected hours: 40 per week
