The Sonnenalp Club in Edwards is seeking talented and passionate Part-Time Group Fitness Instructors to lead engaging classes for our members.

Wage: Commission of $30 - $40/hour 

Typical Schedule: Part-time hours that fit your lifestyle, with weekday and weekend openings available.

Primary Purpose of Position

Teach classes in a beautiful and motivating setting. Lead engaging and effective group fitness classes, and motivate and inspire members to achieve their health and wellness goals. Create a positive and supportive community within our fitness facility. 

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

• Design and lead safe and effective group fitness classes, including HIIT, cardio, circuit training, Pilates Barre, and spin.
• Yoga instructors must have at least 2 years of teaching experience.
• Provide clear instructions and demonstrate proper form and technique.
• Motivate and inspire participants to reach their fitness goals.
• Demonstrate enthusiasm, a friendly demeanor, and the ability to offer modifications for all fitness levels.
• Maintain a positive and welcoming atmosphere.
• Follow all safety protocols and procedures.

Education/Experience

• Nationally recognized group fitness certification (e.g., ACE, AFAA, NASM, etc.)
• Minimum 1 year of experience as a group fitness instructor
• CPR certification
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills
• Passion for fitness and a desire to help others

Essential Physical Requirements

• Maintain good physical fitness: Be able to lift at least 25 pounds and move boxes above shoulder level.
• Stand for extended periods: Work at the front desk, walk the facility, and conduct physical inventory.
• Possess visual acuity and hearing: Recognize emergency situations and respond effectively.
• Be physically active: Frequently walk, reach, push, pull, climb, balance, stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl.
• Have specific vision abilities: Demonstrate depth perception and the ability to adjust focus.
