Description: We are currently seeking an experienced Construction Estimator to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in restoration projects, although we are open to considering individuals with a minimum of 5 years of experience in estimating, regardless of their specific construction background. This is an excellent opportunity to join a dynamic team and contribute to the success of our projects.
Responsibilities:
* Analyze project plans and specifications to prepare accurate and timely estimates
* Collaborate with project managers, engineers, and architects to ensure all aspects of the project are considered
* Conduct site visits and assessments to gather relevant data for project estimation
* Utilize estimating software and tools to create comprehensive and competitive bids
* Communicate effectively with clients, subcontractors, and vendors to obtain necessary information and quotes
* Monitor project costs and make necessary adjustments to maintain profitability
* Stay updated with industry trends, materials, and labor costs to ensure accurate estimations
* Assist in the development and refinement of project budgets and schedules
* Prepare and present detailed reports on project estimates and cost analysis to management and stakeholders
Requirements:
* Bachelor's degree in Construction Management, Engineering, or a related field preferred
* Minimum of 5 years of experience in construction estimating, preferably with a focus on restoration projects
* Proficiency in construction estimating software and tools (e.g., Xactimate, Planswift, Bluebeam Revu, etc.)
* Strong understanding of construction methods, materials, and building codes
* Excellent analytical and mathematical skills with attention to detail
* Effective communication and interpersonal skills to collaborate with various stakeholders
* Ability to work under pressure and manage multiple projects simultaneously
* Strong organizational skills and the ability to prioritize tasks effectively
