We are looking for a Curation Manager to lead our content curation strategy, operations, and implementation across the Roblox platform. You will be responsible for a XFN team and work closely with Product, Developer, Content and Community Engagement teams. We would like this person to have strong opinions on the quality of content they will be curating while ensuring tight collaboration and ensuring all facets of curated choices are considered. We want this person to have experience making choices based in part on data, principles and taste in the gaming, fashion and/or entertainment domains.
This full-time position is based in San Mateo, CA (hybrid structure with 3 days onsite per week) and will report to Senior Director, Content and Digital Marketing
You will: - Be responsible for content curation strategy and implementation for the Roblox platform.
- Balance data driven and human decision making criteria.
- Develop strategic briefs to deliver curated content to users.
- Lead a varied team and ensure KPIs are supervised and achieved.
- Ensure all curated content meets Roblox's quality and safety standards.
- Develop deep cross-collaboration between Content, Development, and Community Engagement teams.
- Drive creativity among the team to build product features and improvements of the curation surfaces.
- Optimally communicate internally and externally.
- Address any content-related issues or concerns in a timely and effective manner.
- Lead and mentor a team of content curators, providing guidance and support to help them achieve their goals.
You have: - 8+ years experience in content curation, content management, or a related field.
- Strong understanding of digital content platforms and trends, preferably within the gaming, digital fashion or entertainment industry.
- Confirmed leadership experience with the ability to encourage and empower a team.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build and manage relationships with creators and internal stakeholders.
- Analytical approach with the ability to interpret data and make informed decisions.
- Highly collaborative and globally minded with an extremely high level of organization.
- Effective being hands-on with individual projects and day-to-day operations.
- Diligent including detailed and effective communications.
- Passion for gaming and familiarity with the Roblox platform is a plus.
For roles that are based at our headquarters in San Mateo, CA: The starting base pay for this position is as shown below. The actual base pay is dependent upon a variety of job-related factors such as professional background, training, work experience, location, business needs and market demand. Therefore, in some circumstances, the actual salary could fall outside of this expected range. This pay range is subject to change and may be modified in the future. All full-time employees are also eligible for equity compensation and for benefits.
Annual Salary Range
$183,910-$225,280 USD
Roles that are based in our San Mateo, CA Headquarters are in-office Tuesday, Wednesday, and Thursday, with optional in-office on Monday and Friday (unless otherwise noted).
