AVP Custody System (Bilingual Mandarin)

Location: Onsite in Manhattan with a Leading Foreign Bank

Salary: Competitive Base Salary Range of $65,000 - $150,000 (commensurate with skills and experience)
Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s degree in Business, Accounting, Finance, Economics, Risk Management, Information Technology, or a related field.
• Minimum of 5 years of experience in back-office roles within the securities industry, preferably in banks or brokerage firms.
• Strong project management experience and familiarity with executing test strategies is highly preferred.
• Solid understanding of the securities industry and OFAC regulations.
• Excellent communication, relationship management, and creative problem-solving skills.
• Bilingual in Mandarin Chinese (speaking, reading, and writing) is required.
• Certifications in Business Analysis or Project Management (e.g., CBAP, PMP) are a plus.

Responsibilities:

Business Requirement Gathering & System Implementation:

• Stay updated on the latest insurance processes and IT advancements to streamline and modernize operations.
• Conduct in-depth as-is and to-be analyses, collaborating with stakeholders to integrate systems into existing workflows.

Supervise Securities Settlement Processing/Asset Services:

• Manage and delegate tasks within your team, ensuring effective operations and cross-training for optimal coverage.
• Oversee daily operations, ensuring accurate and timely reconciliations of securities holdings, corporate actions, and customer reports.

Risk Management and Compliance: Adhere to departmental procedures, reporting unusual transactions to superiors.

• Participate in mandatory risk management training, acting as the first line of defense for accuracy and compliance.
• Customer Inquiries/Services: Provide exceptional support for investigations concerning settlements and custodian operations.
• Research new services and securities types to meet evolving client needs.
