One Refugee Applications Intern - IDAHO

One Refugee is a 501(c)3 foundation focused on championing students from a refugee background by helping them obtain post-secondary education, skills and resources to prepare for a professional career. Our 400+ scholars attend colleges or universities in Utah and Idaho. Each scholar receives individualized educational, professional, and financial support.

The Applications Intern for Spring 2025 will play a key role in assisting the Idaho staff in furthering this mission. We look forward to welcoming a passionate intern to our team!

RESPONSIBILITIES

• Support One Refugee team members in gathering, updating, and compiling data
• Monitor and respond to email and perform other administrative duties
• Take ownership of the application and recruitment process including marketing, monitoring & evaluating applications, communicating requirements, providing support to applicants, interviewing prospective 1R Scholars and reporting updates to team 
• Prepare/present workshops and other materials 
• Assist and lead out community outreach initiatives/events

QUALIFICATIONS

• Ability to work as a team-player, both individually and collaboratively
• Experience or interest in supporting culturally-diverse populations
• Experience in nonprofit or educational programming; excellent attention to detail and organizational skills
• Ability to be flexible with people, deadlines, and technological needs
• Ability to communicate professionally with staff, students, and community partners 
• Experience with Salesforce, Form Assembly, Google Suite and Canva a plus

Hours: 10-15 weekly with potential for increased hours February & March

Dates of Internship: December 2nd, 2024 - May 19th, 2024

Salary: $15/hour

In Person with potential for hybrid
